As the only official writing system that have been popularizing in China, Chinese characters has an impregnable position. Some researchers in movements for re-forming Chinese characters in history, however, had contested Chinese characters and tried to popularize various phonetic Chinese alphabet schemes to illiterate people in the public. This research using the argument between Chinese characters and Phonetic Chinese alphabet and the limitations of phonetic Chinese alphabet during the period of the phonetic alphabet campaign as an example to demonstrate the irreplaceable and valuable of Chinese characters. Ultimately, this research can demonstrate that whenever in cultural transmission aspect or that of practical apply the current form of Chinese characters cannot be re-placed. However, as phonetic Chinese alphabet has limitations so it can only be a supporting tool to learn Chinese characters and Chinese language (including dialects of Chinese). This research can deepen the understanding of Chinese characters and phonetic Chinese alpha-bet, and demonstrate the unique value of Chinese characters and Chinese culture and history.
The study of oracle bone inscriptions has always been a significant subject for promoting the research of Chinese character culture in China. China has conducted research on the informatization processing of oracle bone inscriptions for over three decades and established several representative databases. This paper specifically lists five major existing domestic oracle bone inscription databases and their data collection categories. Through an in-depth analysis of the current status of digital technology's intervention in oracle bone inscription research, it is concluded that the construction of oracle bone inscription databases using artificial intelligence exhibits characteristics of automation, intelligence, and high-speed processing. This is of profound positive significance for integrating existing oracle bone inscription research achievements, promoting the disciplinary development of oracle bone inscriptions, and facilitating the dissemination of Chinese character culture. Therefore, strengthening the in-depth exploration of oracle bone inscription digitization and applying emerging technologies to the construction of oracle bone inscription databases have become the future development trends of oracle bone inscription research.
With the combination of artificial intelligence and the education field continuously deepening, AI energizes individualized teaching, has become an important direction of the Digital transformation of education, but in practice, there are still some issues like the boundaries of AI capabilities, students' dependence on AI, and ethical risks. Therefore, this article is themed by “Construction of an individualized teaching model and research of practice approach in modern education in the artificial intelligence era” and focuses on studying and exploring the troubles that the application of AI in education is facing currently, by using the case analysis method and reference analysis method. Selecting the practice of Deepseek’s individualized teaching model in medical education and the application of blended teaching of AI and Knowledge graphs in math lessons as examples, respectively, analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of models, and on top of that, combining related articles to find a systematic solution for “AI + Education”. The research shows that the way to balance technology and education needs to improve technology, rebuild the teaching framework, and construct an AI ethical system, so that the individualized teaching mode can be sustainably developed in the AI era.
The international dissemination of documentaries plays a crucial role in shaping national image and enhancing cross-cultural understanding. Taking the BBC documentary Mills Explores Ecological China as a case study, this paper analyzes its Chinese-English subtitle translation strategies through the lens of cross-cultural communication theory. Drawing on representative examples, the study focuses on culturally loaded expressions—such as plant names, symbolic imagery, and intergenerational knowledge transmission—and examines how translation techniques, including functional equivalence, cultural adaptation, and audience orientation, are employed. The analysis reveals that translators often adopt a hybrid strategy that combines domestication with explanatory foreignization. For instance, cultural metaphors like "见血封喉树" are translated into scientific terms like Antiaris toxicaria, supplemented with descriptive phrases such as "it's lethal" to retain communicative effectiveness while avoiding cultural misinterpretation. Similarly, expressions such as "文明与野性交界" are softened into "where wildlife meets humanity," aligning the narrative with global discourses of ecological harmony. These strategies reflect a balance between semantic accuracy and cultural acceptability, facilitating meaning reconstruction across different cultural contexts. This study contributes to the theoretical development of cross-cultural communication in ecological media contexts and offers practical insights for the translation of nature-themed documentaries. It highlights the translator's role not just as a linguistic mediator, but as a cultural negotiator. Ultimately, the research provides a foundation for enhancing the global communicability of China's ecological narratives through effective subtitle translation.

Linguistic references to personal pronouns in traditional grammar, i.e., the person indicative in pragmatics, refer to the mutual address of both parties of a conversation when they use discourse to convey information or address the indirect participants. With the development of the times, the gradual popularity of online communication, the promotion of the Internet media platform and other factors have changed the meaning of personal indicatives. This paper statistically analyzes the corpus data of personal indicatives in commonly used online media and finds that there is a phenomenon of “language expansion” in personal indicatives in online contexts, with the third person having the highest degree of expansion. In further analysis, this paper, in accordance with the theory of “cultural information trichotomy”, points out that this phenomenon is related to cultural products, value norms and interpersonal harmony through the analysis of specific examples, and seeks to construct the ecology of network civilization.
Within the global craze for blind boxes, Pop Mart, as the leading player in the blind box industry, has demonstrated how scarcity and storytelling can drive explosive consumer demand through its Naruto series and The Monsters series of blind boxes. This study integrates interdisciplinary approaches such as transmedia storytelling, co-branding, FOMO (Fear of Missing Out) scarcity effect, and Baudrillard's theory of symbolic consumption to uncover the underlying logic behind society's fascination with blind boxes. The aim is to assist toy brands driven by intellectual property (IP) in exploring a path that balances growth with sustainability. This study first conducts a case analysis of Pop Mart's product line, financial status, and community operations from 2023 to 2025, dissecting its value creation framework. Then reviews numerous academic articles and reports to reveal how factors such as symbolic consumption, impulse buying, FOMO, and perceived scarcity interact, and provides targeted suggestions based on these findings. The research results reveal three mechanisms. Firstly, cross-media expansion and co-branding integration introduce the narrative capital of blind boxes. Secondly, artificially created uncertainty triggers FOMO and perceived scarcity, leading to products selling out quickly while also driving transactions in the secondary market. Thirdly, both series of blind boxes shift consumers from functional consumption to symbolic value consumption. Based on the research findings, this paper recommends that the blind box industry make winning probabilities transparent, establish a blind box recycling mechanism, and incorporate more cross-media elements to solidify its symbolic value, thereby achieving long-term brand profitability.
